Matthew 22:14 Many are called, few are chosen

What is it like to be one of the chosen? Listen to the uniqueness of the following definition: To choose or be chosen (definition):

Deuteronomy 14:1-2 The Lord will show who are his, and who is holy: even him whom he hath chosen, he will cause to come near unto him. The Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Pick out, select, and choose for oneself, not necessarily implying the rejection of what is not chosen, but choosing with the subsidiary ideas of kindness or favor or love.

We have the privilege of being chosen by God. We were predestined, and each of us knew it in our hearts, long before we said it with our lips. We knew of it in a place in the spirit that was just for us. No one can ever take it away, it is ours forever. Even though our path might have veered off in the wrong direction over the years, God’s plan for us was still there. We knew where we were going to end up. As champions of God, we are now on our true, chosen and final path.

Beginning in the mid 70’s thru the mid 80’s I trained thoroughbred race horses. It was a special time for me. I was the youngest trainer and the oldest exercise person at the same time. Racing is the “Sport of Kings”, and I parallel that with the gospel which is the “Sport of The King”. The racing industry is driven by the bottom line, as any other business. It is important to be able to pick a potential champion when a horse is still a foal. Picking them young will allow you to get them at a lower price, and devote special training to them. Picking a potential champion is done on bloodlines. Stud books are huge, and list linage of horses back as far as you wish to look. The top race horses of this century all trace back to a horse named Bold Ruler. Bold Ruler is the father of many champions.

OUR LINAGE PLACES US as a descendent of another Bold Ruler, who is also the father of many Champions.
So the way to determine the Championship potential of a horse is based on who his father is, and the way to determine who will be Champion in this life is determined by who our FATHER IS: Our Father who art in heaven: He is the Father of true champions.

2nd Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

Purpose (definition) a deliberate intention.

Grace (definition) bestows or occasions pleasure, delight, or causes favorable regard. Grace is the power and equipment for ministry.

When you take time to actually look up words and their definition, things become crystal clear. It is funny; we use words daily, and really don’t know their true meaning. What most of us know about the definition of words has been learned from the previous generation. That generation learned from their predecessors, and on and on. The true meaning often gets lost over the years. The fact that the direct translation for Grace in the New Testament is the power and equipment for ministry was a revelation for me.

Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

We were chosen by a sovereign God who knows the plans of the world from the beginning to the end. There was no chance meeting, no random selection. We were chosen.

I was chosen, and I always knew there was something special in my life. My parents did not believe in God, so I had no upbringing in the Word, yet God called to me in many ways over the years. I remember once when I was about 12 years old, lying in bed praying. I prayed to God that I would experience ever human experience known to man. I wanted to be equipped for something, but I did not know what for. I know see that my vast life experiences were all there in order to equip me for my ministry.

1st Corinthians 1:26-27 For ye see your calling brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise: and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.

God calls the average person to serve Him. He does not want those who exalt themselves, but those who exalt Him. We come from many different backgrounds. An odd lot to be sure, yet we all love one another and are bonded by the love of Christ. Some of us are young, some old. Some rich, some poor, some powerful and some yet undiscovered. A group that would go unnoticed in the natural world, yet it is a select, chosen group of God.

1st Peter 2:4: To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men but chosen of God, and precious.

Living stone (definition) Building stone, corner stone, or treasure. The adornment of the foundations of the walls of the spiritual and heavenly Jerusalem.

Revelations 21:19-20 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

We are a building stone, the corner stone for the kingdom. Each soul we save becomes another living stone in the foundation of the walls of Heaven. The world may consider us foolish and of no value, but Saints of God, we are precious, more precious than any stone, in His eyes. We live in a nation which was founded on the principles of God, and by his grace we were born here. This privilege allows us the wherewithal to take the Gospel to all the other nations in the World; this is our duty, our honor and our destiny.

Psalms 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

We know that there will be times when we feel backed against the wall, but we know that the blood of Jesus will overcome it all. We are in the bloodline of Jesus, thru adoption!!

Revelations 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

We are called, the chosen, and faithful. We know who our father is, we are in His family.

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I: send me.

We have all said those words. God reminds us that there will be trials. Some say it timidly, (as if someone is behind them, pushing them to the front of the line): “Send me. Will it be OK, can I do it?” Others say it with conviction: “Send me. I can do whatever it takes to be famous.”Some say it with joy and excitement: “Send me. I always like an adventure.”

1st Samuel 27:45-46 But the chosen group will say: “send me, and then they will say: Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel and This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.”

As chosen, we have been prepared to develop our plan of action and then execute it with excellence, accuracy and integrity. There are people all over the world who have never heard the Name of Jesus.

Philippians 4:9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

That is our order, our assignment, what we have learned, we MUST put it into practice!

I think that we would all agree that this season has been a great adventure. We have found out who we are, what we are made of and where we are going. God chose us to live in this time, during all of the trials and turmoil that is going on. We are the body of Christ. We must support one another with encouragement, love, sharing of revelations and works of salvation

This camaraderie will not end, but shall intensify. God has given us all the gifts of ministry, but some are all strong in different areas. The Holy Spirit has said that we must depend upon the gifts and talents of each other: WE MUST MAINTAIN THIS TRUST IN THE WORD! God expects us to continue to support each other from now on with intensity, integrity and love. The move of God that is coming needs a united front, it needs us to stand together, shoulder to shoulder. We cannot allow even one more of our brothers or sisters to fall.

Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;

We are few, but chosen, selected, prepared and willing. We will build our ministries in a fashion that they will stand the test of time. When that glorious day comes when we stand before the Lord he will say:
Matthew 25:21 Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

AMEN
