Last week we released things from the entire year that were holding us back. Now as we enter into the New Year we are going to claim the promises that God has given to us.
The world always talks of making a New Year’s Resolution. The Word Resolution is a legal term; we are not under the law, because we are under Grace. I suggest to you that we decide to make a lifestyle change instead of a resolution. Every second is an opportunity to make a lifestyle change.
We have the Mind of Christ, and we are to be more and more like Him everyday. A resolution requires an immediate change, none of us are like Christ, but we are striving to get there, so let’s do it God’s way: Everyday, in everyway we are searching and molding ourselves into the image of Christ.
God has given you one face, and you make yourself another. William Shakespeare
So what face have you given yourself, the face of love and acceptance like Jesus? The face of being non-judgmental, or do you wear the face that society expects from you in your current position.
How often do we look the other way when we encounter sin? How often do we shake our head in unbelief, yet walk away from the issue.
We don’t want to make waves, so we just gather together in our safe Christian meetings, is that how we change our lives? Did Jesus ever walk away from anyone?
So as we begin to develop this new lifestyle, we need to understand more and more about the Jesus we are modeling our lives after.
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
As Christians we all say we believe the word of God then we get discouraged when we don’t see the immediate evidence. We are going to see that there are incorrect things that we believe that may be interfering with the manifestation of the promises of God. When your desires must be in alignment with your beliefs then your assignment will be clear. And when you are in assignment: YOU ATTRACT ABUNDANCE. Our assignments and desires should be identical. And truly believing the word not only lines them up, but attracts the abundance we are entitled to:
BECAUSE HE BECAME POOR SO THAT WE CAN BE RICH.
Until you believe these things, you will only attract what the world says you can have. So let’s begin this journey to abundance.
Matthew 22:37-39 (TLB)
Jesus replied, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar: ‘Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.’
We cannot only believe the part of the Bible, for to attracting the prosperity God promised, we must believe it all. So we are to love God AS WELL AS our Neighbor as much as we love ourselves. That is a tough one, some of us have never gotten to the first part of loving God with all of our heart, but to love our neighbor: well many of us get stuck right there. Then there are Those who don’t love or even like themselves, how then can they love their neighbor? If we want the blessing of God, then we have to start right there: no judgment, of them or ourselves. Just love, when we receive a His love, and give our love WE are on the way to abundance.
Do your realize judgment is actually fear? Because they do not live the way we want or approve of, we judge them, and this inability to control others is actually feared! We are not in control; this makes us feel unstable which in turn: is fear.
What is fear? It is an emotion, caused by a Spirit. Does fear actually hurt us? Is it from God?
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We hurt ourselves when we are in fear. The adrenaline races the heart pounds the blood pressure goes up we get sick to her stomach sometimes we even lose control of our bowels. But is fear actually hurting us? Or is it the anticipation of what might happen? Fear itself does is no harm. Our imagination can dig up more pain than the fear COULD DO. Of course it is natural fear against actual danger that is an excellent form of protection. The Fear I’m talking about is an anxiety type fear.
Be ANXIOUS for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
When I talk to people and ask them one thing in their life they like to change and many times that is the fact that they are in fear. Fear comes under many circumstances, anxiety,
compulsions, social interactions, etc. When I ask what they’re actually in fear about they can’t always say. It becomes a way of living this anxious state. They are in fear about the future, their health,
relationships, basically there in the fear of the unknown.
They want to guarantee of each of these items they want to guarantee they’ll never lose their job they want to guarantee their spouse and they want to guarantee they won’t be sick. They want a promise from someone. The ironic thing is the state of anxiety the state of fear is what causes relationships to fail it’s what causes people to get fired it’s what causes people be so restricted they don’t enjoy their life and they cannot pursue the dreams of the future.
Life is a precious gift……IT IS SO PRECIOUS THAT JESUS
DIED SO NOT ONLY CAN WE HAVE LIFE, BUT HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY.
