Finding Your Destiny – Part 4 of 4

So how do we change the world for Jesus?

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Jesus desires that all be saved and that we all join Him and the Father in heaven, then New Jerusalem and then? We are eternal so the best is yet to come.

All be saved: that includes ALL, the backslider, the atheist, the Muslim, the Buddhist the Satanist, All means ALL. When God says ALL, he means all. When man says ALL, since we exaggerate, often we mean most.

EXAMPLE: All of my friends JUST loved my dress: no most. God says ALL, he means ALL. Everyone is coming!

Be creative, listen to the Holy Spirit. You can minister in most diverse ways to reach the lost. It is vital we reach young people. You won’t reach them in the places you may frequent: go GO, remember that Word: go to where they are. Go, the people did not come to the apostles.

The apostles went to the people, they reached out. They did not sit in one place and wait for the people to come to them. THEY DID WHAT JESUS SAID: THEY WENT. You can only fail by not trying.

Remember Jesus did not go to the healed, he went to the sick. He did not sit around and brag about who he had healed (like we tend to do, remembering some miracle that God did thru us, years ago), no he kept going, kept healing, kept delivering and teaching without looking back. He never referred to the past, always the future.

When you are led by the Holy Spirit: just open your mouth and the right words will come out. If you are not led by the Holy Spirit, what you say will just be your opinion! And you know about opinions!!

I have often prayer: regardless of what leaves my mouth: let them hear what they need to hear!! I just trust the Word to do the work.

You never know who you are witnessing to….or who they know. They could have a network of 1,000’s or they could know no one. Once in a group of people: I met the son of the president of Mexico. He was just a guy in a group. It does not matter to God.

We keep track of numbers: God desires souls. God loves them all the same, the same as He loves you and me.

As you see changes, spiritual changes, salvation of others, miracles, you say: wow that was way cool. Neat, I wish that could happen again…….then somewhere alone the way, you begin realizing that is could be a way of life.

Your spiritual heritage: IS living in the supernatural realm of God. It is not something that happens immediately but slowly it becomes a …..way of life…… begin abhorring the world way……. dark, boring…….dull and selfish, and greedy.

Don’t just watch the decaying world go by……..CHANGE IT!

Channel surfing…. is not Gods way for us to relax just by watching hours of entertainment and unable to even remember what we watched. TV is a time thief. Relax in word, worship, pray: meditate as God reveals your destiny, not thru Dr. Phil, but thru His word.

Jesus is the Sabbath and he said that the Sabbath was made for man and man was not made for the Sabbath. The law of Sabbath does not control us, forcing us to do what it says. The love and grace of Jesus tells us to come and rest in Him.

Jesus tells us that we are to rest in Him, in He is our Sabbath, our rest. We receive our assignment, and then just follow guaranteed instructions by resting in Him.

We just need to make our minds to be willing, flexible and ready. Flexible? What does that mean? Well, when you want to go right and God says left: just do it, just GO the way He says!! Forget yourself, and follow God.

As you go forward you will find there are different levels in the spirit. When, not if but when you go up a level, DECREE: I don’t even remember what it was like to be at the former lower level.

Forget everything except going forward. The enemy wants you to wilt back to a former level. REFUSE: go on, go on: Remember Jesus said: GO.

Exodus 23:20-24 (The Message)

“Now get yourselves ready. I’m sending my Angel ahead of you to guard you in your travels, to lead you to the place that I’ve prepared. Pay close attention to him. Obey him. Don’t go against him. He won’t put up with your rebellions because he’s acting on my authority.

But if you obey him and do everything I tell you, I’ll be an enemy to your enemies, I’ll fight those who fight you. When my Angel goes ahead of you and leads you to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites,

I’ll clear the country of them. So don’t worship or serve their gods; don’t do anything they do because I’m going to wipe them right off the face of the Earth and smash their sacred phallic pillars to bits.

So we just GO and rest in Him: He will win battles and give you rest all at the same time.

As we GO, we are to be salt and light.

Matthew 5:13 (The Message)

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

For this teaching we are going to look at salt with a deeper understanding. We notice that Jesus never challenged us to become salt or light. He simply said that we are: and we are either fulfilling or failing that given responsibility.

Salt is needed because the world is rotting and decaying and if our Christianity begins rotting and decaying, it won’t be any good unless we seek and display the Christian distinctive. We can never affect the world for Jesus by becoming like the world.

Salt is also the opposite of corruption, and it prevents corruption from manifesting as we are to prevent sin from manifesting. In addition, the preservative quality of salt shows how the disciples were called to preserve this society and the world around us from moral decay.

I think that we Christians are sometimes tempted to isolate ourselves. We want to submerge ourselves in a Christian subculture of our own making and not get too involved in the world. But Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth.” When He made that statement to His disciples so long ago, they understood the significance of what He was saying. It can be lost on us today because we don’t know it what it means to be called salt.

In those days, salt was considered to be very valuable. In fact, the Romans considered salt more important than the sun itself. Roman soldiers would even be paid with salt.

So when Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth,” He was saying in a sense, “You’re valuable. You’re important. You’re significant. You can make a difference.”

Stop and think about salt. It really can do a lot. A little salt on a bland piece of meat can make all the difference. A little pinch of salt can alter the flavor of something, just as one Christian in a situation can effect change. God has singled you out to make a difference—a strategic difference.

Salt can appear to be clear or it can be tainted by minerals which cause different colors and taste. This points out us: to add nothing to the salt we are supposed to be: transparent.

Salt is used for de-icing in the natural for roads and such: but in the supernatural it de-ices cold hearts!!

The taste of salt (saltiness) is one of the basic human tastes. We naturally desire salt because our bodies need it to survive:

In the same manner, there is a desire for the supernatural in all humans. It is there, waiting desiring….we need it to survive. WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUTH IT.

Salt is involved in regulating the water content (fluid balance) of the body.

Also our spirit must be fed the salt (purity) of the word to survive. It balances us!

The Dead Sea is said to be the site of Sodom and Gomorrah. The salt concentration in it is so high that it allows the body to float easily with no effort at all.

Could it be that when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah: the residue of His righteousness was salt?

Could it be that the buoyancy of the Dead Sea is a representation of the rapture, of the lifting up because of the concentration of salt?

In the Hebrew Bible, thirty-five verses mention salt. When King Abimelech destroyed the city of Shechem, he is said to have “sown salt on it,” probably to destroy the cures of the enemy that had been on that ground.

It was an example that good overcomes evil as nothing would grow in this salted area, the area of the enemy. God sows us into areas of the enemy, areas where sin, sickness and death will just be destroyed, to never come back again. WE ARE THE SALT THAT PURIFIES.

The Book of Job contains the first mention of salt in all literature.

“Can that which is unsavory be eaten without salt? (Job 6:6)

Can the bread of life be tasted without the salt of righteousness or is it just tasteless?

In the New Testament, six verses mention salt. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus referred to his followers as the “salt of the earth”.

The apostle Paul also encouraged Christians to “let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt” (Colossians 4:6).

To preserve the covenant between their people and God, Jews dip the Sabbath bread in salt.

Salt has been the best-known food preservative, especially for meat, for many thousands of years. That is a reflection of the covenant of God.

The word salary originates from Latin: salarium which referred to the money paid to the Roman army soldier’s for the purchase of salt. Thank God we do not have to pay for our salvation which produces salt in us: it is freely given.

In the Old Testament, Mosaic law called for salt to be added to all burnt animal sacrifices (Lev. 2:13).

Salt’s profound impact on human civilization spans recorded history… and precedes it. Salt has influenced human existence virtually from the beginning. At one time Caravans trekked deserts trading salt ounce-for-ounce for gold.

Now let’s look deeper: The basis chemical shape of salt is a cube. When you take rock salt and break it down: it breaks in the shape of many cubes.

Break it down more it becomes smaller cubes……and smaller: although it is still salt: it is no longer salty because it has been reduced to such a small amount.

The same goes for you: as more and more of the world sneaks in, the Word be smaller and less potent and you become: unsaltey. Yes the word is still there but of no effect.

We have seen the importance of salt, how it is valuable, why we need it naturally and supernaturally but wait: there is more.

Now it is time to jump into the supernatural: Salt at it’s smallest size is a cube, the larger the piece, the more cubes are attached together.

Why is salt in the shape of a cube? Let’s look at the Temple: the temple had three sections: the outer court, the inner court and the holy of holies.

The holy of holies is a cube.

It was 20 cubits in length, breadth, and height.

New Jerusalem is 1,500 miles in length, breadth and height. It is in the form of a cube.

There are no coincidences in the spirit. God did not call us to be salt: Just because. But He knew exactly the connection between the Holy of Holies, New Jerusalem and how we are directed to live.

Ask yourself: are you worth your SALT?
